How we collect, use and share your personal information.
Who we are
This website is run by Devar International Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 11 608 492 913), a company registered in Australia (“we”, “us” or “our”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
What information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide. This is usually your name, email address and the content of your message. If you include other details, such as a phone number, company name or project information, we collect those too.
Your Product Selector account and plans. If you create an account to use our Product Selector, we collect your username, email address and display name, the date you registered and when you last used it. We never store your password in a readable form. If you save Fire Management Plans, we store what you enter in them, such as project and contractor names and addresses, together with the fire collar solutions, locations and quantities you add. PDF and Excel exports of your plans are created in your own browser and are not stored on our server.
Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, our web server and content delivery network record limited technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is held in standard server logs and is used to keep the site secure and working correctly.
Cookies and similar technologies. This website uses only essential cookies and browser storage that are needed for the site to work, including sign-in cookies if you have an account. See the Cookies section below.

Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies, for example to support core WordPress functionality. If you sign in to your Product Selector account, we set cookies that keep you signed in. They are removed when you sign out or they expire.
The Product Selector also uses your browser’s local storage to remember the plan you last had open, and to keep your search while you sign in or create an account. The saved search is used once and ignored after 24 hours.
To protect our contact form and account sign-up from automated spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check provided by Cloudflare. It processes limited technical information about your browser and connection to tell people and automated programs apart.
Some pages include product videos hosted on YouTube. The video only loads from YouTube when you press play. From then on, YouTube (part of Google) receives your IP address and may store information on your device, under its own privacy policy.
Who we share your information with
We share your information only where necessary to respond to you and run our business:
- Snap Fire Systems and Selkent. Your enquiry may be handled by Snap Fire Systems Pty Ltd, the manufacturer, so the right person can answer you. Where your enquiry is about buying or delivery in the UK, we may pass it to our UK distributor, Selkent Fastenings Ltd.
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to host this website, deliver it through a content delivery network, protect our forms from spam, deliver email and provide IT services. They process information on our instructions and are bound to keep it secure.
Where your information is held
We are based in Australia, and this website and its data, including your enquiries and any Product Selector account and plans, are hosted in Australia. Some of our service providers process information in other countries, including the United States, and our content delivery network serves the site from locations around the world, including the UK.
Where UK data protection law requires a safeguard for a transfer of your information, we use one recognised under that law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards we use.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it. For enquiries, this is normally for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you contact us again or a dispute arises. We keep it longer only where we have to meet a legal obligation.
We keep your Product Selector account and saved plans for as long as your account is open. You can delete individual plans at any time in the Product Selector. When your account is closed, the plans stored with it are deleted too.
Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or overwritten in the normal course of running the site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure of your information in certain circumstances.
- Restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances.
- Object to us using your information where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Data portability for information you have provided to us, in certain circumstances.
If you have a Product Selector account, you can update your name, email address and password at any time from your account profile, and delete your saved plans in the Product Selector. To close your account, or to exercise any of the rights above, contact us using the details below.
